FAIEH Training: A ‘First Aider in Every Home’ (FAIEH) Training, organised by the Perak Women for Women Society (PWW)and conducted by Trainers from The Malaysian Red Crescent Society, Perak Branch, was held today (28.1.2013) at the Red Crescent Hostel Hall in Ipoh from 8am – 5pm. This one day FAIEH Training drew about 80 participants who were trained by three Trainers, Mr.Ng, Mr Albert Quah and Mr. Perumal on how to give First Aid to casualities of accidents and emergencies before they can be taken to hospitals for medical care. The participants were taught First Aid Theory and later they were trained on how to bandage cuts and wounds, manage fractures and sports injuries. The most challenging part was learning to do CPR on a dummy. It was a very valuable empowerment for the participants who ranged from teenagers, young adults, parents, teachers of daycare and the handicapped, as well as those taking care of the elderly.
